The best NEET PYQ book for 2027 is one chapterwise 39 Years set used alongside NCERT. Pick Disha Errorless if you want every question linked to its NCERT page and the June 2026 re-exam in print. Pick MTG 39 Years if you prefer video solutions and digital practice. PW’s 14 Years is the compact choice for recent papers only. Buy one publisher, not two.

Amazon, MTG, Disha, Arihant, Oswaal and PW listings (edition, pages, publication date, papers included, seller) were re-read on 3 Nov 2026.

How we checked this page: we read the Amazon listing and the publisher’s product page for each book and noted the year range, newest papers, page count, publication date and listed features. We checked NTA notices for what happened to NEET 2026, and searched the official 2026 syllabus text for older chapters. Where listings disagree with each other or with buyers’ reports, we say so and show you how to check the book you buy. Buyer comments are quoted as individual buyers’ reports. Our methodology · About PrepPick

Which is the best NEET PYQ book for 2027?

Disha Errorless 39 Years for most students, MTG 39 Years a close second. Both cover 1988–2026 chapterwise and topicwise, and both sell as single-subject books or a three-book set. Disha wins on two things a self-studying student uses every day:

  • an NCERT page reference on every question
  • the cancelled 3 May 2026 paper and the 21 June 2026 re-exam, both listed as printed

MTG wins if you will use its free digital practice and video solutions.

Choose by situation:

  • Short of time: PW 14 Years covers only 2013–2026 in a single volume.
  • Want notes next to the questions: Oswaal’s set adds revision notes and mind maps, but it costs the most of the five.
  • Want to work by difficulty: Arihant sorts each chapter by level.

Whichever you choose, NEET 2026 was held twice. NTA cancelled the 3 May 2026 exam after a paper leak and held a re-exam on 21 June 2026. A 2027 book is only current if it has the 21 June paper or a way to get it; see which books include the 2026 papers.

“Errorless”, “authenticated” and “verified” are publisher wording. We haven’t checked any book’s answers. One PW Store buyer (September 2026) reported wrong answers in the key. Several Disha buyers on Amazon say it’s accurate, while others mention misprinted answers.

MTG or Disha: which is better for NEET PYQs?

Disha for NCERT-linked revision and the 2026 re-exam in print; MTG for video solutions and digital tests. They cover the same 39 years of questions, so the real differences are how you find, revise and check them.

Disha Errorless 39 Years MTG 39 Years
NCERT references Every question carries an NCERT page number No NCERT reference listed
Question arrangement 29 / 22 / 32 chapters (Physics / Chemistry / Biology), split into 186 / 118 / 171 topics; newest questions first Class 11 then Class 12 chapters, topicwise. Physics adds an Experimental Skills chapter, a syllabus unit with no NCERT chapter
Revision features Paste-in stickers to mark “needs revision” and “tricky” questions; 3 graded quizzes per chapter; trend analysis Weightage analysis and concept repetition tracker; multicolour pages; digital practice with custom tests and performance tracking
Solutions Detailed solutions at the end of each chapter Answer keys, hints and solutions; video solutions for selected questions
2026 papers Cancelled 3 May paper and 21 June re-exam listed in print 2026 paper printed; re-exam promised as a free download
Special papers Lists all 51 Physics papers, including 2024 rescheduled, 2023 Manipur and 2022 Phase II, plus CBSE Mains 2010–12 Not itemised on the listing

Pick Disha if you study alone and want to go from a wrong answer straight to the NCERT page, then mark the question for revision.

Pick MTG if you’ll actually use the app. One MTG Biology buyer (May 2026) found the QR codes led to paid or missing pages, then updated in July to say the smart book and video solutions had started working.

Either book is enough. Buying both adds very few new questions, because they hold the same papers.

Which is better, MTG or Oswaal NEET PYQ books?

MTG for most students; Oswaal only if you want revision notes and mind maps printed beside the questions. Oswaal’s three-book set (1,200 pages, dated 30 June 2026) lists 4,200+ solved questions: Physics 1,100+, Chemistry 1,550+, Biology 1,500. It also adds revision notes, mind maps, mnemonics and two sample papers, and it names both 2026 papers in its title.

MTG doesn’t state a question count. It’s the cheaper set on Amazon and adds video solutions and digital tests. If you already have short notes, Oswaal’s extras repeat them. One Oswaal set buyer (September 2026) complained that the Biology book didn’t match its cover description; it’s a single report, but worth checking on delivery.

Oswaal also sells a separate yearwise book, 20 Years’ Solved Papers (2007–2026), with OMR sheets. Don’t confuse the two.

Which is better, Arihant or MTG NEET PYQ books?

MTG for a complete three-subject set; Arihant if you want questions sorted by difficulty within each chapter. Arihant’s books are chapterwise, topicwise and levelwise, with a chapter weightage indicator, an importance scale and “Trap Alert” notes. Arihant’s site names the Re-NEET 2026 paper in each title.

The Arihant Amazon listings have problems:

  • The Physics page’s description is for the Hindi edition (“1500+ MCQs”) while the title says 1,800+.
  • The Biology title says “1800+” while Arihant’s own page says 3,000+.
  • One Biology buyer (June 2026) counted only 60–80 questions per chapter.

Check the contents in the “Look inside” preview before buying.

Is the MTG 39 Years NEET PYQ book worth buying?

Yes, if you don’t already own a 39 Years book from any publisher. It’s a full 1988–2026 chapterwise set (1,090 pages for three subjects, dated 18 May 2026), with solutions for every question and video solutions for some. In print, the English edition carries the 2026 paper. The 21 June re-exam is offered as a free download “post 21st June 2026”, according to MTG.

Several buyers in July and August 2026 said the re-exam paper wasn’t in the book. One printed MTG’s PDF instead. Two later buyers (August and November 2026) said it was included. So check the contents for a Re-NEET 2026 section. MTG’s Hindi editions list both 2026 papers as printed.

Is the PW NEET PYQ book good for NEET 2027?

Yes. The 14 Years book is good for recent-paper revision, and the 39 Years set is a full alternative to MTG or Disha.

  • PW 14 Years (2026–2013) is one 528-page volume for all three subjects. Its title names Re-NEET 2026, Re-NEET 2024 and 2023 Manipur.
  • PW 39 Years is a three-book set, 984 pages. It groups repeated questions as “PYQ Deja Vu” and highlights must-revise questions. Its description names 2024 Re-NEET and 2023 Manipur but not the 2026 re-exam; one buyer (October 2026) says it’s included.

The 14 Years listing’s ratings are pooled with the older 12 Years edition. That’s why some reviews say “no 2024 questions”: they’re about the old book.

Being a PW student doesn’t make the book necessary. If your modules already include PYQs by chapter, skip it.

PW 14 Years vs MTG 39 Years: which is better for revision and accuracy?

PW 14 Years for fast revision of recent papers; MTG 39 Years for building accuracy chapter by chapter over a full year.

PW NEET 14 Years MTG 39 Years (set)
Years 2013–2026, plus Re-NEET 2026 and 2024, 2023 Manipur 1988–2026
Format One volume, 528 pages, all three subjects Three books, 1,090 pages
Arrangement Chapterwise and topicwise Chapterwise and topicwise
Solutions Step-by-step, “verified with NTA answer keys” (PW) Answer keys, hints and solutions; some video solutions
Revision tools Trend analysis Weightage analysis, repetition tracker, digital tests
Best use Last 3–4 months, second pass, droppers revising Chapter practice from Class 11 or a full drop year

For accuracy, the number of times you re-solve your wrong answers matters more than the book. A smaller book you finish twice beats a big one you finish halfway.

Which is the best chapterwise PYQ book for NEET?

Disha Errorless 39 Years. Its topics follow the new NCERT chapter by chapter (186 Physics, 118 Chemistry and 171 Biology topics), and each question gives its NCERT page. Within a topic, the newest questions come first, so you meet the current pattern before the 1990s questions.

MTG is the closest alternative. Arihant adds levels within each chapter. All five publishers sell chapterwise books, and only Oswaal and MTG also sell separate yearwise ones.

Chapterwise or yearwise PYQ books: which is better?

Chapterwise while you’re studying the syllabus, yearwise once you can sit a full paper. You need both kinds of practice, but rarely two purchases. Recent full papers are free from NTA.

Chapterwise (e.g. MTG, Disha, Arihant, Oswaal, PW 39 Years) Yearwise (e.g. Oswaal 20 Years, MTG 10 Years “NEET Explorer”)
Best time After finishing each chapter, all year Last 2–3 months, as timed mocks
What it trains Concept application, chapter accuracy Time management, switching subjects, stamina
Weak-area work Easy: all questions on one topic together Hard: one topic is spread across papers
Mock practice Not possible Full 180-question papers, with OMR sheets in some books
Replace with free material? No, sorting by chapter is the value Often yes: NTA’s archive has past papers and keys

When the yearwise book makes sense

Buy a yearwise book only if your test series doesn’t give you enough full papers. Oswaal’s 20 Years book (2007–2026) includes OMR sheets and “all re-exam papers”. Its listing names only the 3 May 2026 paper as the latest, so check whether the 21 June re-exam is inside. Keep the most recent papers unseen until your last month, so they work as real mocks.

Which NEET PYQ books include the 2026 exam and re-exam questions?

Disha and Oswaal list both 2026 papers in print, Arihant’s site lists the re-exam, and MTG’s English edition prints the 3 May paper and offers the re-exam as a free download. NEET 2026 had two papers:

  • the 3 May 2026 exam, which NTA cancelled on 12 May after a paper leak
  • the 21 June 2026 re-exam, sat by more than 20 lakh candidates

Both are real NTA papers, and both are useful practice.

Book 3 May 2026 (cancelled) 21 June 2026 re-exam What to watch
Disha Errorless 39 Years (English) Listed Listed One June 2026 buyer of Disha Chemistry found no retest paper in an early copy
Disha 39 Varsh (Hindi) Not stated “Re-NEET 2026” listed
MTG 39 Years (English) Printed (“NEET 2026 Paper”) Free download per MTG Buyers disagree; two later buyers say it’s printed
MTG 39 Years (Hindi) Printed Printed, per MTG
Oswaal 39 Years set Listed in title Listed in title Amazon’s description mentions only “the latest 2026 paper”
Oswaal 20 Years (yearwise) Listed Not named “All re-exam papers” is claimed
Arihant 39 Years Listed on Arihant’s site Listed on Arihant’s site Amazon listings don’t mention it
PW 14 Years Not stated Listed in title Amazon date (23 May 2026) is before the re-exam; check the print
PW 39 Years Not stated Not named (2024 Re-NEET named) One buyer says the re-NEET paper is solved

Several Amazon publication dates (5 May, 14 May, 23 May 2026) are earlier than the re-exam, even when the title promises it. The listing date is usually the first print; later prints were updated.

How to check a copy before you rely on it:

  1. Read the cover strap and title for “Re-NEET 2026”, “Retest” or “21 June 2026”.
  2. Open “Look inside” or the contents page and look for a 2026 re-exam section or year tags such as “2026 (Re)”.
  3. Check one chapter. Pick a long chapter, such as Current Electricity, and look for 2026 questions labelled for both papers.
  4. If it’s missing, download the paper from the publisher’s link or from NTA’s NEET archive rather than buying a second book.

What is the difference between 38 Years and 39 Years NEET PYQ books?

One more year of papers: 2026. MTG’s 38 Years edition (2025-26) covers 1988–2025 with the NEET 2025 paper; the set has 980 pages and is dated 25 April 2025. The 39 Years edition (2026-27) covers 1988–2026; the set has 1,090 pages and is dated 18 May 2026. It adds the 2026 paper, multicolour pages, a weightage analysis and concept repetition tracker, and digital practice.

Other publishers’ “38” and “39” editions follow the same pattern: 2025 is the newest year in one, 2026 in the other. Older syllabus questions don’t change between them.

Is the latest MTG 39 Years edition worth buying if you own the 38 Years one?

Usually no. The new edition adds only the two 2026 papers: at most 90 Physics, 90 Chemistry and 180 Biology questions. Get them free and keep your annotated book:

  • MTG offers the re-exam as a download.
  • NTA’s archive has past papers and answer keys.
  • Our NEET syllabus page confirms the 2026 syllabus was unchanged from 2025.

Upgrade only if your old book is worn out, or you want the new digital tools.

Which NEET PYQ publisher has the most detailed solutions, especially for Physics numericals?

On what the listings promise, MTG and Disha.

  • MTG: “answer keys, hints and solutions” for every question, plus video solutions for selected questions.
  • Disha: a “detailed, concept-driven solution” for every question.

No publisher shows enough sample pages to compare accuracy, and none of the claims (“errorless”, “verified”) has been independently checked. Individual buyers praise both. One MTG 38 Years buyer (April 2026) said the answers are well explained but have fewer short tricks than some other publishers.

Check one Physics numerical yourself before buying. Use “Look inside” or a bookshop copy:

  • Does the solution state which law or formula applies and why?
  • Can you follow every step, including units, without filling gaps?
  • For a ray optics or circuit question, is there a diagram?
  • Does it flag the common wrong option?

If two of the four answers are no, pick another publisher. For Physics practice beyond PYQs, see our NEET Physics books guide.

Best NEET PYQ book for each subject

Which is the best NEET Biology PYQ book?

Disha Errorless 39 Years Biology. Biology questions often come from NCERT lines. Disha’s NCERT page number on every question takes you straight to the line you missed. The Biology book has 432 pages across 32 chapters and 171 topics, with 96 quizzes.

MTG’s 39 Years Biology (490 pages) is the alternative. Arihant’s Biology sorts questions by level. More in our NEET Biology books guide.

Which is the best NEET Physics PYQ book?

MTG 39 Years Physics or Disha Errorless 39 Years Physics. MTG Physics (332 pages) has video solutions for selected questions and a separate Experimental Skills chapter. Disha Physics (312 pages, 29 chapters, 186 topics) has NCERT page references and three graded quizzes per chapter. For numericals, run the solution check above on one question from each.

Which is the best NEET Chemistry PYQ book?

Disha Errorless 39 Years Chemistry, for its listed revision tools and both 2026 papers. MTG and Arihant are close. The three are compared in detail in our NEET Chemistry books guide.

Best NEET PYQ book for self-study: all five compared

Disha Errorless 39 Years. Self-study needs a way to find and fix your own mistakes, and Disha lists the most tools for it:

  • an NCERT page for every question
  • stickers to mark questions for revision
  • three quizzes per chapter at rising difficulty
  • detailed solutions
  • both 2026 papers
Publisher Self-study verdict
Disha First choice: best for fixing your own mistakes
MTG Close second, if you’ll use the app and video solutions
Arihant Good if you like level-by-level practice; check the question count first
Oswaal Good if you have no notes of your own; costs the most
PW 14 Years for recent revision; 39 Years as a cheaper full set

Picks by student type

Student Pick Why
Self-study Disha Errorless 39 Years set NCERT page links, stickers, graded quizzes
Dropper Disha or MTG 39 Years set, plus free NTA papers for mocks A full year needs the full range; recent papers become mocks
Weak in Physics One Physics book (MTG or Disha); skip the set if Biology and Chemistry PYQs are covered Spend on the weak subject only
Class 11, buying for NEET 2028 Current 39 Years subject books, used for Class 11 chapters now Old questions don’t expire; add 2027 papers free later
Hindi medium MTG 39 Years Hindi or Disha 39 Varsh (Hindi) Both list the 2026 re-exam in print
500-rupee budget PW 14 Years, or one 39 Years book for your weakest subject See the budget section

Are NEET PYQs enough for NEET 2027?

No. PYQs show you what NEET asks, but they don’t teach every concept, and they miss parts of the syllabus. For example, Physics Experimental Skills and Chemistry’s p-Block and Practical Chemistry units have no current NCERT chapter. Use them with NCERT, one practice book and timed mocks. See where NCERT and PYQs fall short and the units NCERT doesn’t cover.

I own NCERT and MTG Fingertips. Do I still need a PYQ book?

Yes, usually, but only one. Fingertips is NCERT-line practice with some past exam questions mixed in. A PYQ book gives you every NEET question by chapter, which shows how NEET actually words them. On a tight budget, do Fingertips fully and use NTA’s free papers instead. More on how the two fit together in our MTG Fingertips review.

Weak in Physics, strong in Biology: subject books or the full set?

Buy the Physics book alone, and add Chemistry only if you need it. Single subject books cost about a third of a set each. A set makes sense only if you’ll work through all three. If Biology is strong, spend your PYQ time on Physics: solve every question in a chapter, then re-solve every wrong one a week later. Physics book choices are in our NEET Physics guide.

Three months left: last 10 years or a 39 Years book?

Focus on the last 10–12 years first. Recent papers match the current syllabus and question style best.

  • If you already own a 39 Years book: do 2026 back to about 2015 in every chapter first (Disha prints newest first), then older questions only in your weak chapters.
  • If you’re buying now: PW 14 Years covers 2013–2026 in one volume.
  • For timed practice: keep the two 2026 papers and 2025 aside for full mocks.

All 39 years, or only recent papers?

Recent first, then older questions only for topics still in the syllabus. Older AIPMT questions are still good concept practice, and repeated ideas show up across decades. But they weren’t written for the current syllabus or pattern, so don’t spend your last months on 1990s papers.

Are old AIPMT questions still relevant? What about deleted topics?

Mostly yes, except questions from chapters no longer in the syllabus. Skip those. We searched the official NEET 2026 syllabus text for older chapter names. None of these appear:

  • Chemistry: Solid State, Surface Chemistry, s-Block Elements, Metallurgy, Polymers (as a chapter), Chemistry in Everyday Life, Environmental Chemistry
  • Biology: Reproduction in Organisms, Transport in Plants, Mineral Nutrition, Digestion and Absorption, Strategies for Enhancement in Food Production, Environmental Issues
  • Physics: Communication Systems

Some books mark or drop out-of-syllabus questions and others don’t. One Disha set buyer asked Disha to mark them. Check your chapter list against the syllabus units. Also check the reverse: the syllabus has units that NCERT and old papers barely cover, such as Experimental Skills. MTG prints a separate Experimental Skills chapter in its Physics book.

Which NEET PYQ book is best for Hindi-medium students?

MTG 39 Years (Hindi) or Disha Errorless 39 Varsh (Hindi). Both list the 21 June 2026 re-exam as printed.

  • MTG Hindi: separate Physics (352 pages), Chemistry (272) and Biology (488) books, or a 1,112-page set. MTG lists both 2026 papers.
  • Disha Hindi: adds “Value Added Notes”. Its Hindi Physics book has 95 topics against 186 in English, and the Hindi listing doesn’t mention the NCERT page locator.
  • Others: PW sells a Hindi 14 Years edition. Arihant sells Hindi Physics and Biology; we found no Hindi Chemistry.

More Hindi-medium choices in our NEET books in Hindi guide.

Class 11 student: which PYQ book stays useful until NEET 2028?

Buy the current 39 Years subject books now and use them chapter by chapter. Questions from 1988–2026 don’t go out of date, and the newest year can be downloaded free each June. Disha and MTG are both arranged by NCERT chapter for Class 11 and 12. Two cautions:

  • No NEET 2027 or 2028 syllabus has been released as of 3 Nov 2026, so recheck chapters against the syllabus page each year.
  • Don’t buy the set twice; the 2027-28 edition adds only one year.

Dropper without coaching: which PYQ book, and how to use it daily?

Disha Errorless 39 Years set, used every day with NCERT.

Daily step What to do
1. NCERT Read the chapter section you’re on
2. PYQs Do that topic’s questions, newest first, without opening the solutions
3. Check Mark wrong and guessed answers. Read the solution, then the NCERT page it points to
4. Mark Stick “needs revision” or “tricky” on questions to redo
5. Revise On Sundays, redo all marked questions from the week, then take one chapter quiz

Keep an error log of the chapter, the mistake type (concept, fact, calculation, misread) and the fix.

₹500 budget: which NEET PYQ book is best value?

PW 14 Years (one volume, all three subjects) for recent papers, or one 39 Years book for your weakest subject. Rough bands on Amazon:

  • PW 14 Years (2026–2013): about ₹380–395
  • one 39 Years Physics or Chemistry book (MTG, Disha or Arihant): about ₹250–265
  • one 39 Years Biology book: about ₹320–350
  • a three-book 39 Years set (MTG, Disha or PW): about ₹740–780

Two subject books together come to just over ₹500. Under ₹500, use NTA’s free papers for the subjects you don’t buy.

Prices checked on 3 Nov 2026.

90-day NEET revision plan: one PYQ book, NCERT and weekly mocks

Eight weeks of chapterwise PYQs with NCERT, three weeks of weak chapters and marked questions, and two weeks of mocks, with a full mock every Sunday throughout. A 39 Years set has about 80 chapters (Disha: 29 Physics, 22 Chemistry, 32 Biology). That’s roughly two chapters a day across subjects for eight weeks.

Weeks Physics Chemistry Biology Sunday
1–4 Class 11 chapters: NCERT examples, then PYQs Class 11 chapters: NCERT, then PYQs Class 11 chapters: NCERT line reading, then PYQs Full 3-hour mock + error review
5–8 Class 12 chapters Class 12 chapters Class 12 chapters Full mock + error review
9–11 Redo marked and wrong questions in the 5 weakest chapters Same, plus p-Block and Practical units Same, plus diagram and statement questions Full mock: 2025 paper, 2026 papers
12–13 Mixed timed sets of 45 questions Mixed timed sets of 45 Mixed timed sets of 90 Two mocks a week; NCERT re-reading on other days

Daily rhythm:

  • Biology: 90 questions in the paper, so it gets the most time.
  • Physics: solve every numerical before reading its solution.
  • Save the 2025 and both 2026 papers for weeks 9–13 so they stay unseen. Use NTA’s archive or your test series for the other mocks.

Subject-specific plans: Physics, Chemistry, Biology.

Avoid duplicate PYQ books

Don’t buy two chapterwise sets from different publishers. They hold the same papers, so a second set mostly repeats the first. Buy a second book only to fill a real gap: a Hindi edition, a missing 2026 paper, or a yearwise book for mocks.

Use one collection fully before judging it

Finish one chapter’s PYQs, check every answer, and redo the wrong ones after a week. A book you’ve marked up and redone is worth more than a new one with a newer cover year.

What about NEET 2027 exam mode?

As of 3 Nov 2026, NTA hasn’t released a NEET 2027 bulletin. The government told the Supreme Court a move to a computer-based test is still “under active consideration”. PYQ books stay useful in either mode. If NEET 2027 moves to computer-based testing, practise some mocks on screen rather than on OMR.

FAQs

Which is the best NEET PYQ book for 2027?

Disha Errorless 39 Years for most students, for its NCERT page references and both 2026 papers in print. MTG 39 Years is a close second if you’ll use its video solutions and digital practice.

Which is better for NEET PYQs, MTG or Disha?

Disha for NCERT-linked revision, stickers, graded quizzes and the 21 June 2026 re-exam in print. MTG for video solutions and digital tests. Both cover 1988–2026, so buy only one.

Is the MTG 39 Years NEET PYQ book worth buying?

Yes, if you don’t already own a 39 Years book. Check that the book you get has the 2026 re-exam; some buyers found it only as MTG’s free download.

Which is better, MTG or Oswaal NEET PYQ books?

MTG for most students. Oswaal adds revision notes, mind maps and two sample papers and names both 2026 papers in its title, but its set costs more.

Is the PW NEET PYQ book good for NEET 2027?

Yes. PW 14 Years (2013–2026, one volume) is good for recent-paper revision, and the PW 39 Years set is a full alternative to MTG or Disha.
